POSITION
Summary: Provides social work services to patients and their families in all medical units, Women''s Center, ED, and OP clinics, to deal with needs incidental to their hospitalization. Services include counseling, support and assistance in making post-hospital plans. Services are provided to outpatient areas and patients are referred to community social services as needed. Possess knowledge of sommunity agencies. Knowledge of InterQual Criteria, with an emphasis on InterQual discharge instructions.
MINIMUM EDUCATION: Master''s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited university /college.
MINIMUM FIELD-OF-EXPERTISE: Ability to accurately assess patients and family''s needs and make plans acting as patient advocate within CMC Guidlines. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely. Experience in a medical setting. Basic computer knowledge and skill in the use of Microsoft Windows application.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION: Current Hawaii licensure as Social Worker.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
