Sr. Storage Systems Engineer (FSP cleared)

Requires experience in the following 5 key areas:
1) Corporate backup and recovery, using NETBACKUP
2) Maintenance of backup infrastructure
3) Upgrades and configuration management
4) Installation and configuration of backup clients, media servers, and SAN clients
5) Management of SAN devices
The Storage System Engineer must be experienced in sustaining and supporting Network Attached Storage (NAS), Storage Area Network (SAN), and disk storage arrays. Maintaining extended enterprise archiving and corporate backup infrastructure is important. The individual will provide performance tuning on backup/recovery issues and archive systems management software. Candidate should have experience in backup/recovery, archival systems, disk arrays, virtual storage devices, and storage resource management software. Individual must have the ability to work with vendors in resolving issues, as well as understand the capabilities of the equipment as it relates to performance and customer data.
Although not required, any experience, familiarity, or understanding in the following specific areas is a plus:
Brocade SAN switches; Brocade best practices; Best practices in relation to creation of aggregates, volumes and iSCSI LUNs; zoning hosts to storage via command line interface; NFS, CIFS, and iSCSI protocols; EMC, IBM, and Hitachi (Vion) storage arrays; Oracle databases, PL/SQL, and other scripting languages; Robitic/ACS controlled library; StorNext; Oracle, Quantum, or IBM tape libraries and tape drives; Isilon and NetApp clusters; and Vfiler (virtual filer) operations.
Min. MS degree plus 6 years, BS degree plus 8 years experience, or equivalent combined education and experience.
CompTIA Security
certification or other F21 approved certifications for category/level IAT-2 (DoD 8570) are permitted in place of Security+.
Must be a self-starter and able to work under pressure.
Must be able to multi-task at times, working several high priority taskings concurrently
Must have an ability to interface in a professional manner with non-technical customers is important
Possibility of travel (CONUS & OCONUS).
Must have a Top Secret SCI Clearance with Full Scopy Poly
