Lead and direct team of Antenna and RF Design Engineers in the development and sustenance of antenna technologies, design methods and new products. Ensure that business processes are followed in accordance with departmental procedures and company policy. Select, develop, and evaluate personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function. Oversee and participate in the design and development of antenna technologies in accordance with customer requirements. Oversee the efforts and activities for Antenna procurement between Manufacturing, Obsolescence, Product Planning and Material Planning departments for the selection and ordering of parts, materials, components or processes with vendors and suppliers. Support design verification by performing tests on Bread-board and Engineering Models. Monitor program schedule commitments and direct appropriate personnel of possible impact(s) or changes(s). Ensure communications between internal and external customer are maintained within company standards. Conduct regular Program Reviews and drive to consistencies within the organization. Maintain and enhance technical capabilities necessary for design of antenna technologies. Supervise the generation of concepts, models and production drawings necessary for antenna design. Organize, plan, staff and train personnel for timely responses to project assignments. Design and develop RF/microwave circuits, unit design/test (gain, budgets, trade-offs) requirements from specifications and preliminary sketches. Survey the industry for novel, differentiating components and techniques and incorporate into practice. Domestic and international travel may be required.
Five (5) years of progressive experience in the specialty field.
Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Physics, followed by five (5) years of progressive experience in the specialty field.
