Director of Procurement

This position is responsible for determining and directing activities that will improve operational efficiencies by ensuring that the Company acquires raw materials, energy, manufacturing consumables, capital equipment and logistics services (3PL) at optimal value and within the required timeframe. This role is instrumental in budgeting and developing strategic and operating plans, while working closely with external and internal customers to make certain that the Developing the appropriate resources to support current forecasted business and projected growth. Responsible for a total spend of $126 million.
Develops and executes the strategic sourcing plan for these categories.
Negotiate strategic vendor contracts and managing existing relationships.
Oversees the Company's contracted 3PL provider and all considerations relevant to shipping and logistics.
Ensure reliable supply of power to Company assets, either through direct procurement or through contracting services.
Develop and implement a strategy for power procurement in deregulated areas of the US. This includes procurement activities as well s the process of tracking electric power procurement.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Management, Supply Chain Management, Operations management, Engineering, or related. MBA, CPSM, C.P.M., or CPIM preferred.

years related supply chain experience in a PROCESS industry (preferred).
Must be able to successfully work in an environment in which a wide degree of creativity and latitude is required.
Experience with strategic sourcing, total cost - including total cost of ownership, life-cycle costs, scenario planning, and category and risk management.
Experience managing electricity spend.
Experience dealing with 3PLs
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
