The Chief, Medical Service, is responsible for oversight and performance measures of all Medical Service operations at the Veterans Health Care System of the Ozarks.
The position provides administrative, clinical and programmatic leadership to the service to ensure achieved performance measures.
Responsibilities include planning, developing, and directing all administrative and clinical functions of the Medical Department. This includes oversight of the inpatient acute care medical services, primary care, intensive care unit, emergency department, subspecialty services, Physical Rehab Section, ultrasound services, and Cardiopulmonary Section.
Position also includes clinical practice and oversight responsibility for residents and medical students. The position reports directly to the Chief of Staff and serves as a key clinical resource for the Director. Tour of Duty: Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The work is usually sedentary, but it requires periods of walking, standing, bending, or climbing and employee may carry light items such as books, instruments, lap tops and other similar materials.
In order to qualify for this position you must meet the following:

U.S. citizenship:
Education : Degree of doctor of medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine.
Licensure: Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.
Physical Standards: Applicants must successfully complete a pre-employment physical, including the possibility of a drug screen.
English Language Proficiency: Physicians, including residents, appointed to direct patient-care positions must be proficient in spoken and written English as required by 38 U.S.C. 7402(d) and 7407(d).
GRADE REQUIREMENTS:
Chief Grade. Applicants must be able to demonstrate recognized professional attainment at the next lower level which are: past or present faculty appointment in an approved medical school; or completion of an accredited residency in internal medicine or in a related area; or current eligibility to sit for the board certification examination in internal medicine; or comparable achievements in clinical, educational, administrative or research activities. Plus, applicants must show attainment of additional recognition in clinical, administrative or research areas. Such recognition may be demonstrated by:
Certification by an American Specialty Board, or
Significant accomplishments in clinical practice, educational activities, research or administration which clearly distinguish the physician as having the highest professional qualifications in the specialty area to which assigned, such as:
Past or present faculty appointment at the professional level in an approved medical school, or
Completion of an accredited residency in the primary specialty area or in a related area to which the individual will be assigned and unusual professional accomplishment such as:
1. Publication of articles in nationally recognized professional journals, or
2. Officer in a State or National professional medical organization, or
3. Directorship of a hospital or large clinic.
Preferred
Experience: The preferred candidate is board certified in internal medicine, has excellent interpersonal skills, and experience in management.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
