Quality Technician
Cobham Mission Systems in Davenport, Iowa is seeking a Quality Technician to perform in the following areas: layouts, gage purchasing, Engineering, Controllers, Coolers, Regulators, and Air Sep and Fabrication departments. This position is part of a dynamic team within a fast-paced, aerospace and defense manufacturing environment.
_Principal Duties and
Responsibilities:_
Assists in collecting, analyzing, and recording data for troubleshooting defective manufactured or purchased material as applicable.
Works with close tolerances.
Reads prints and schematics.
Uses standard tools.
May assist in maintaining gauge recall system.
May assist in writing specifications and procedures for inspection.
May be responsible for documentation and sample testing and verification of units.
Performs all operations according to prescribed safety and environmental principles.
All other related duties as assigned.
_Required Qualifications:_
Associates degree.
3
years experience troubleshooting and analyzing quality issues.
3
years experience developing layouts and gage purchasing.
3
years experience reading blueprints and schematics.
3
Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerances experience.
3
years experience researching Military Standards for released / unreleased documents
Effective verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work with close tolerances.
Ability to operate measuring and gauging equipment.
Ability to support and advise independent judgments regarding technical issues.
Ability to work in an office, lab, and indoor industrial environment.
Regulations require applicants to be a permanent resident or citizen of the United States.

Qualifications:_
AS9100 Quality Management System experience
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
Familiarization with Oracle ERP system
Knowledge of TipQA quality assurance software
ASQ Certified Quality Technician (CQT) or Certified Quality Improvement Associate (CQIA)
ISO-9001 or AS9100 Internal Auditor training certificate
