Position Description:
One of the largest privately held mining and construction firms in the United States is seeking an individual for a Strategic Sourcing Specialist position based out of its corporate office. This position will be responsible for supporting the company's procurement processes and will report directly to the Strategic Sourcing Manager. The successful candidate for this role will have an adamant focus on safety excellence.
Responsibilities:
Solely responsible for the operation, maintenance, testing and end user support for the Oracle iProcurement processes.
Resolve invoice and payment issues with suppliers while supporting Accounts Payable processes.
Ensure adherence to National Account programs.
Training company employees on iProcurement processes and use of software.
Analyze company iProcurement purchase history, research and recommend cost savings opportunities.
Administration of the capital request and approval process. Review and resolve discrepancies with corporate and field personnel.
Support corporate initiatives as requested.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration preferred, related degrees considered and minimum of five (5) years related industry experience desirable.
Knowledge of Construction and/or Mining Industry preferred.
Experience using Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Report Writer. Oracle financials software experiences a plus.
Must have exceptional oral and written communication skills, diplomacy and able to motivate others.
