Candidate will work on an exciting front office data project for credit business. Job will provide opportunities to work closely with front office personnel within a motivated agile team

Must have/required

Minimum 6-10 years experience in Java & Oracle with particular emphasis on Core & advanced Java development skills
Strong Java, XML, Web-services, Messaging experience ? Hands on development experience in Java-based ETL components.
Strong SQL skills including query optimization, stored procedures, views, materialized views, partitioning and triggers.
Must have worked with object databases.
Knowledge of Credit reference Data, pricing, credit derivatives & Middle Office systems.

Highly desirable

Design, plan, coordinate work among the team, provide technical support to project team members.
Must have strong attention to detail and experience producing high quality structured SQL code.
Experience dealing with large scale systems and ability to grow existing data models.
Experience in Java-based APIs and data retrieval processes interfacing with data service provider like Bloomberg, IDC, Reuters.
Python experience with interfacing with Java/.net
Excellent communication skills and a strong work ethic.

Nice to Have

Nice to Haves include C# .NET or Python, JMS, MQ messaging, Big Data, Hadoop, NoSQL, Cassandra
Ability to work across different databases systems like Sybase, SQL 2005 skills ,MS Data Transformation Services & SSIS.
MS-Excel/VB Macro proficiency.
Work closely with business analysts, and technical team members to understand business and technical requirements that drive the data analysis and extraction.
Bright, good school a plus.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
