Essential Functions:
Position reports directly to the Associate Athletics Director for Sports and Compliance. Responsible for the total operation of an equipment room for 14 varsity sports, including purchasing, inventory control and management, budget management, safety compliance, distribution, maintenance and collection of all athletic equipment within NCAA guidelines. Oversees the ordering process of appropriate and essential athletic equipment within established guidelines. Coordinates departmental corporate contracts for apparel and equipment. Ensures proper usage of athletic equipment in accordance with national equipment standards and departmental requirements. Coordinates equipment transportation for road trips and travels to away events as needed. Oversees daily laundry services. Remains in full compliance with NCAA, OVC, TBR, and TTU guidelines, rules and regulations. Establishes and maintains professional working relationships with University personnel and equipment vendors. Performs other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. Experience in athletic equipment management or related area. Knowledge of NCAA athletic equipment fitting and safety standards. Knowledge of NCAA guidelines/safety requirements and concussion standards. Knowledge of care and maintenance standards for equipment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work nights and weekends including some travel. Student-athlete welfare philosophy complimentary to that of the Director of Athletics.
PREFERRED
Qualifications:
Three years experience in athletic equipment management or related area. Experience in athletic equipment management or related area in a Division I athletic program. Athletic Equipment Managers Association certification or ability to obtain upon hire.
SALARY AND
Benefits:
Commensurate with education and experience. Benefits include the accumulation of two vacation days per month, one sick leave day per month, and thirteen (13) University holidays. Other benefits include medical and life insurance (shared cost with the University), retirement, optional 401k, and educational benefits.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
