Quality Engineer - Web Services

This position requires a highly motivated individual with the ability to work on multiple projects independently and as part of a project team. This is more than just a testing position; we are looking for an engineering background mixed with Software Development skills with a willingness to learn Quality Engineering. This person will be an integral part of the Web Services/Partner Integration development team, defining and writing automated tests. The focus of this position will be testing our Web Services API's and mobile device applications.
Actions and Results:
Maintain regression tests for allocated feature areas
Collaborative early testing for defect prevention
Assist in associating defects with application behavior
Analyze and assist on defects reported from technical support
Bring your coding skills! 95% of all testing is done via automation.
Skills and
Experience:
Required
BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or applicable discipline
2 or more years of QE experience
Experience testing RESTful webservices
Experience developing automated tests within a test automation framework
Familiarity with Java or some other object-oriented programming language
Familiarity with SQL and working knowledge of relational database technologies
Previous test case development, test planning and execution experience
Experience with web technologies: HTML, JSP, XML, JSON, CSS, etc.
Experience working in agile software delivery teams
Strong analytical and organizational skills, and attention to detail
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proven success in performing effective QE testing within project timeline and/or resource constraints
Adaptable, committed to deadlines and willingness to work in a fast-paced environment
Desired
Experience with RESTful APIs
Experience with SaaS scalable technologies
Experience testing with MySQL
A polyglot that can program across multiple languages.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
