JOB PURPOSE:
The Internal Auditor Staff is responsible for executing financial, operational and compliance audit activities of the Company.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (OTHER DUTIES MAY BE ASSIGNED):
Execute financial and operational audits focusing ensuring compliance with Corporate internal policies and procedural best practices. Primary responsibilities will include the following:
Executing the audit and assigned responsibilities from the team's leadership
Understand the operations under review and identify key risk areas
Perform detailed audit procedures and analytical reviews
Ensure that a high level of professional standards are met relating to the work papers, and all written and verbal communication
Identify opportunities for improvement
Execute Sarbanes-Oxley 404 efforts
Participate in special projects as needed.
Identify opportunities for improvement in department policies/procedures/structure to maintain a world class Internal Audit organization
Able to travel up to 25% of the time and occasionally work nonstandard hours
Qualifications:
BS degree in accounting or finance, MBA or other advance degree preferred
CPA, CMA, CIA, CFE, CISA or an interest in obtaining is required
SOX experience preferred
Manufacturing experience or client exposure preferred
Strong analytical skills
Good oral and written communication
High ethical standards and a has a strong sense of urgency
High degree of initiative and self-motivation
Work well with others at all levels of the organization
Strong verbal and written communication skills, to effectively present to peers and management.
Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Access, Visio/Flowcharting
Experience with ACL desired, but not required
Understanding of internal auditing standards, COSO and risk assessment practices
Understanding of the technical aspects of accounting and financial reporting
Able to perform multiple projects and working with varying team members
