As a Materials Developer, you will work closely with product developers and the materials team to identify, evaluate, test, troubleshoot, develop and commercialize new materials and technologies for use in various footwear categories. You will support the domestic production group by maintaining the process of Materials Approval. In this role, you will work with vendors on present and future material needs and you will correct any material problems that may arise. You will be responsible for touring and inspecting vendor facilities during the vendor approval process. As a Materials Developer, you will be required to attend trade shows in order to identify new materials and trends applicable to product development. You will coordinate the testing of materials and make recommendations based on the materials'' performance.
Bachelor''s degree in Textile Science, Chemistry, Industrial Design, Graphic Design, Fashion Design, Fashion Merchandising, Textile/Surface Design, Fine Arts, or Illustration.
3 - 5 years related experience required.
Strong communication, organization, problem solving and project management skills.
Proven research ability and capable of working across multiple teams.
Computer proficiency in MS Office, Illustrator and Photoshop.
Ability/interest in design as it relates to textiles and surfaces, fashion, graphic or fine arts.
Some domestic and international travel required.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
