Founded in 1977, LRP Publications produces some of the largest specialized conferences in the nation. Our conferences provide top-quality training and professional development in the fields of special education administration, workers compensation and human resources technology. In addition to producing conferences, LRP Publications publishes business-to-business newsletters, magazines, books, software and more.
We are currently looking for a Conference Sponsorship Coordinator to manage the sponsorship fulfillment programs for two of our nationally recognized conferences. This is an interim position, projected for July thru November. In addition, the Coordinator will be responsible for the following:
Work directly with vendors and tradeshow sales force to ensure proper planning, communication and execution of contracted sponsorship activities, promotions and events
Serve as liaison with hotel/convention center representatives
Assist Meeting Planners with daily administrative tasks
Assist in the editing/proofreading of conference brochures and materials
Manage logistics and sponsorship fulfillment with the use of Excel spreadsheets, Microsoft Word and Outlook
Requirements:
Must have experience in conference planning and production
Proficiency in MS Outlook, Excel and Word with a minimum typing speed of 35 GWPM
High School diploma or equivalent
Ability to speak fluent English and communicate effectively in verbal and written formats

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
