Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field and four years of professional experience managing IT projects in a public health environment.
A Master's degree in relevant field may substitute one year of experience.
Duties DescriptionWithin the Health Cluster of the Office of IT Services (ITS), the Project Coordinator will function as a Quality Assurance and Quality Care Specialist supporting the planning and coordination for the Universal Public Health Node (UPHN) and Health Commerce System (HCS) with the Regional Health Information Organizations (RHIO) for their UPHN implementation and ongoing data exchange with DOH programs as part of the State Health Information Network - New York (SHIN-NY).
Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
Develop an operational plan with defined project requirements, detailed milestones, release schedules, and activities of the UPHN project in collaboration with ITS and key business stakeholders.
Report status and risks to the Director of Business Solutions for NYSDOH and Health Cluster Project Management Office.
Monitor results against established timelines, deliverables, tasks, dependencies, and associated technical specifications.
Develop detailed project plans, work breakdown structures, project checklists and budgets to meet established time frames, funding limitations and staffing availability.
Prepare comprehensive supporting plans in the areas of quality control, risk management, change management, testing, and other associated project management areas
Manage project development process to include monitoring project scope and change control processes.
Perform work in association with industry recognized standards, guidelines and practices
Communicate with external stakeholders and internal partners to resolve issues related to UPHN operation, customer service, and other topics as needed
Develop and maintain detailed reports to effectively monitor UPHN operations.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
