The Registered Nurse is responsible for the coordination of patient care, utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. The Registered Nurse is responsible for prescribing, delegating and evaluating the holistic nursing care rendered. As a professional, the Registered Nurse contributes to the smooth operation of the nursing unit and for the professional development of self and others by being a role model and providing leadership.
Education / License / Certification:
Current licensed in state of Tennessee or compact state as Registered Nurse, in good standing
Current BLS
Experience / Skills:
Prior experience in medical/surgical or specialty area.
If new graduate, evidence of recent preceptorship and/or clinical in a clinical setting within last year.
Analytical skills necessary to prepare patient plan of care, implement effective nursing care and develop solution to problems concerning patient's mental and physical well-being
Interpersonal and communication skills necessary to address issues in tactful and timely manner to patients, families and hospital personnel
Attention to detail and concentration
Ability to work in fast-paced, ever-changing environmentMedical / Surgical Unit
