Summary: The staff nurse is a professional registered nurse who, utilizing the nursing process, manages the nursing care of a specific patient population on a shift basis. He/she functions as a knowledgeable member of the health care team and performs appropriate skills at a safe competence level, accepts appropriate assignments and accepts Preceptorship responsibilities as delegated. Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care, coordinate care delivery. The RN is responsible for working 8 and/or 12-hour shifts (as per job position) on a schedule assigned by the Department Manager. The R.N. is responsible for the delivery of coordinated nursing care for a patient or an assigned group of patients within a patient/care unit and for the day-to-day management and supervision of the related clinical activities for that patient population on the nurse s shift of duty. The nurse also is responsible for supervising and responsibly directing the activities of various levels of assigned nursing and ancillary personnel utilizing both professional and supervisory discretion and independent judgment. Variation in staffing needs may require floating outside of assigned units. Staff member not oriented to the assigned unit is not required to perform in the same capacity and will be provided a modified assignment based on their skills and competencies. The RN supports management and administration in the achievement of goals and objectives set by the organizational strategic plan by actively creating a positive atmosphere of commitment. The Registered Nurse may accept and implement orders for client care from licensed health care professionals who are authorized to independently diagnose and treat and have privileges at TCGH. These health care professionals are: Nurse Practitioners, Chiropractors, Dentists, Naturopaths, Physicians and Podiatrists. (OSBN Nurse Practice Act.) An RN/LPN may take verbal or phone orders received from a licensed independent practitioner via another RN/LPN, because they are considered a licensed professional. Therefore, we can accept orders from an RN/LPN, but we cannot accept orders from unlicensed personnel; ie: non-RN/LPN clinic staff, etc. QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS: 1. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. 2. Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Oregon. 3. Current CPR certification. 4. Willing to attend off-site education and Preceptorship programs, as appropriate.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
