Java/J2ee Lead Web Developer - CSS3, JavaScript, HTML5
We are seeking Java/J2ee Lead Web Developer - CSS3, JavaScript, HTML5 to support one of our direct customers in King of Prussia, PA or Austin, TX for a long term assignment over 12
months.
The client, leading outsource solution for e-commerce, is seeking a highly technical senior software engineer role requiring analytical, innovative thinkers to work on our client launches deployed on our eCommerce platforms. If you are a self-starter with a passion for technology, eCommerce and are used to writing high-quality code then this is the right place for you.
Responsibilities
o Design and develop client launch approaches on our various technology stacks
o Be a SME expert in our platforms with regards to local/distributed caching, JS/CSS/Image resources aggregation & optimization, application configuration, content management, etc.
o Continue to evolve and provide input into our internal tools and platforms to conform to the new emerging web standards in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and other RIA/RUI requirements
o Design and implement tools, libraries and processes to improve development agility for internal developers
o Help advance technical culture and the technical industry through presentations, blogging, conferences, and other social participation
o Other usual engineering activities - scoping, prioritizing, planning, bug fixing, documentation, and of course facing technical challenges!
Required Skills and Experience
o Deep knowledge and experience of web application frameworks, HTML/HTTP, DOM, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, cross-browser compatibility issues, and client-side performance optimization.''
o Deep knowledge of Architecture, application design and Systems
o Good knowledge of performance evaluation and tuning
o Deep Knowledge of J2EE technologies (JSP/Servlet, JDBC, RMI, JNI, JMS, JMX, etc.), RDBMS databases, SOA and Web Services (SOAP, REST)
o A successful track record of creating frameworks and APIs that enable modular, extensible design
o Excellent oral and written communication skills with ability to describe complex concepts in a concise fashion with attention to detail
o 10
years' experience in Software development in an OO language such as C/C+
or Java
o Excellent problem solving skills
o Bachelor or Master's degree in Computer Science or relevant field
