PURPOSE OF YOUR POSITION
The IT Project Manager is responsible for Information Systems projects within the organization. Plans, executes and finalizes Information Systems projects according to strict deadlines, budget, and management expectations in collaboration with Chief Information Officer. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan. The IT Project Manager must have a thorough knowledge of IT applications, infrastructure and hardware to interact effectively with the IT team during a project lifestyle.
GENERAL INFORMATION
Must be knowledgeable in currently available project management processes, project management software and be aware of developing trends. IT Project Manager must possess strong customer service skills in order to communicate with internal and external customers and to assist in the success of projects. Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities; able to react and make and make project adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently. Adept at conducting research into projectrelated issues and IT products; able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies. Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
1. Work very frequently requires prolonged sitting (51-80%25%20of work time).
2. Work requires occasional walking, standing and lifting of materials up to 20 lbs (6-20%25%20of work time).
3. Work requires eye and hand coordination and manual dexterity to operate computer and other office machinery such as calculators, adding machines, fax machines, and copiers.
4. Work requires occasional travel to seminars and trainings (3-4 times per year).
ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
1. Generally good working conditions with some discomfort due to noise, crowded conditions or frequent interruptions (more than 80%25%20of work
time).
2. May be required to work weekends as needed (less than 6%25%20of work time)

QUALIFICATIONS
1. BS/BA in Information Systems, Project Management or related field. C ertifications in Project Management (PMP, APPM) preferred.
2. Three years of direct IT project management experience required including all aspects of process development and execution.
3. Must be familiar with programming languages, including VB, VB Scripting, .net, java scripting. Experience with database and operating systems such as Microsoft Server 20xx, Windows 7, SQL. Must have competent and proficient understanding of platforms, such as Windows, IBM iSeries, AIX. Solid working knowledge of current Internet technologies required. Must be technically competent with various software programs, such as MS Project or equivalent PM software, MS Office Suite, Autocad, Microsoft Visual Studio.
4. Pennsylvania state police criminal record check, child abuse history clearance and an FBI criminal history check required.
5. Work requires excellent computer literacy skills and keyboard proficiency to operate in multiple windows and manipulate files. Experience working with decision support and Project Management tools preferred. Work requires intermediate skills in Microsoft Word and Powerpoint. Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel required to manage and manipulate spreadsheets.
6. Work requires interpersonal skills to pleasantly communicate with team members and tactfully interact with vendors, various hospital departments and other hospital staff (51-80%25%20of work time).
7. Work requires analytical ability to integrate and interpret data from diverse sources to identify solutions. (51-80%25%20of work time).
8. Work requires mental and visual focus requiring mental application and attention to detail. Work is performed under tight deadlines, must possess excellent time management and functional organizational skills to manage a variety of tasks and to meet department deadlines and time sensitive projects (51-80%25%20of work time).
