System Engineer I (VMWare/Wintel)

TAD PGS, INC. is currently seeking a System Engineer I (VMWare/Wintel) for one of our clients in Fort Meade , MD. Must have an active TS/SCI w/FS Poly Clearance.
Primary
Responsibilities:
Provide Tier III and IV support for VMWare environments running Linux and MS-Windows servers and other computer systems as well as Active Directory and thin client services.
Engineer solution and manage complex projects through all phases of its lifecycle including hardware, firmware, software analysis, integration support, building, testing, deployment, and ensure sustainability and operational readiness for production use.
Provide Tier III and Tier IV on-going support to ensure operating environment meets service availability levels that meet client business requirements.

Java platform support (JEE, JMS, JMX).
VMWare.
IPv4, IPv6, IGRP, EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, SONET, ATM, WLDM, VLANs, Firewalls.
RHEL 4.
Windows 2003, Redhat, Solaris, HPUX.
SQL.
EMC Clarion SAN.
VBScript, SNMP, KML, BMC, My SQL, Microsoft SQL, Oracle, SOAP, JBoss, Tomcat, EML, GIS and shell script.
ClearCase, MS-Access, MS-Project, Visio.
SAN Technologies with Fibre-Channel and direct attached disks.
Basic Qualifications Required:
Bachelor''s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Bachelor''s degree in systems engineering, computer science, management information systems, or related field preferred.
Four or more years of experience in systems engineering, software engineering, operating systems programming, or naval architecture.
Experience working with computer hardware, operating system software and desktop applications with a specific concentration in one or more areas.
Experience working with one or more structured programming languages.
Experience working with design principles and applications.

Provide integration support to facilitate integration of capabilities into existing infrastructure:
Provide engineering support for installation and testing of new security tools/systems.
Provide operational support to development testing, requirements gathering.
Provide engineering support in the task of automation of manual tasks.
Provide engineering support for network design, configuration and maintenance.
Provide engineering support for mission assurance/COOP requirements.
Maintain hardware and associated processing systems and software components:
Integration support - hardware, firmware, software analysis, integration, testing, design and deployment support.
Coordinate and implement installation and testing of new security tools/systems.
Automating manual tasks and creation of custom tools and scripts.
Implement and maintain physical server and virtual (VMWare) server platforms.
Provide support for network design, configuration and maintenance.
Provide support for mission assurance/COOP requirements.
Install, configure, operation and maintain LAN, WAN and Dial-up access services.
Configure various network protocols.
Install, configure, maintain and troubleshoot systems and networks running Windows 2003, Windows 2008 and Linux operating systems under VMWare.
Install, configure, maintain SQL Server databases, and EMC Clarion SAN technologies.
Create Scripts.
Analyze system logs and perform root cause analysis.
Introduce and integrate new technologies.
Routine audits.
Perform backups.
Responsible for assigned information system security.
Troubleshoot reported problems and perform root cause analysis to prevent future service outage or degradation.
Perform system management relating to security (patch management, host-based IDS, network admission controls, mandatory access controls, etc.).
Identify intruder techniques.
Coordinate and implement installations.
Ensure maintainable end-to-end solution by providing operation support to testing.
Cost out infrastructure solutions (servers).
Perform 3rd-Tier trouble shooting.
Perform administration for Windows 2003, RedHat, VMWare, SQL Server Database, EMC Clarion.
Install, configure and maintain UNIX, RedHat LINUX, Solaris, HPUX and Windows servers.
Implement, configure and maintain SAN technologies.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
