#### Primary Responsibilities
Heavy metals analysis on ICP-OES.
Perform various wet chemistry extraction and digestion techniques.
#### Reporting to
Consumer Testing Services
#### Specific responsibilities
Operate and maintain ICP-OES (Inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectroscopy)
Perform wet chemical prep on various sample matrices
Perform Food contact testing on ceramic and glassware
#### Profile
Minimum of Bachelors Degree in Chemistry, with 0-2 years of experience
Knowledge of operation of inorganic instrumentation for analysis of heavymetals. Specifically ICP-OES experience, preferred but not required
Entry Level with knowledge of basic chemistry laboratory techniques
Experience with extraction/digestion techniques of samples in complex matrices preferred, i.e. Plastics, paints, textiles, metal
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
#### Skills
Well organized with sense of responsibility for project and time management.
Necessary to have efficient competency to complete assigned projects on time and follow through with supervisor when necessary.
Ability to handle multiple competing priorities through effective resource management.
Excellent Time management skills are required.
Must have a sense of urgency
