POSITION
Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Current licensure or is eligible for licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia based on possession of a letter to practice on an out-of-state license for Registered Nurses and Licensed Practical Nurses. Maintenance in Credentialing Program.
Peri-Operative Services:
Operating Room: One year of recent OR experience; scrubbing and circulating experience preferred.
BLS required; ACLS and PALS preferred; CNOR preferred
night, weekend, and holiday call required
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Heavy lifting (45 lbs); moderate carrying (15-44 lbs); straight pulling (2 hrs); pushing (1 hr); reaching above shoulder; use of fingers; both hands required; walking (2 hrs); standing (3 hrs); kneeling (1/2 hr); repeated bending (1 hr); climbing, use of legs and arms; both legs required; ability for rapid mental and muscular coordination simultaneously; near vision correctable; far vision correctable; both eyes required; depth perception; ability to distinguish basic colors; hearing (aid permitted); dry atmospheric conditions; excessive noise; intermittent; dust; radiant energy; slippery or uneven walking surfaces; working around machinery with moving parts; working around moving objects or vehicles; working with hands in water; working closely with others; working alone; protracted or irregular hours of work.
