Summary
NRECA is seeking an Energy Regulatory Issues Advisor to proactively track all major matters within the Government Relations Regulatory Group. Through review of pleadings and comments produced by NRECA, Advocacy Organizations, and issuances by Federal Agencies and Departments the chosen individual will assist in the development and delivery of timely, targeted advocacy messages, summary resources, and educational materials including regulatory policy briefing papers, white papers, reports and succinct policy one-pagers.
Purpose and Mission
Through face-to- face meetings, review of pleadings and comments, and other external sources of information proactively track all major issues within the Government Relations Regulatory Unit.
Research, track and analyze federal and state legislation and regulations, regulatory filings and papers produced by other advocacy groups. Produce and maintain state-by-state summaries on policy issues, as well as side-by-sides comparing different state or stakeholder policy positions, and similar reference documents.
Conduct policy and regulatory research as requested by subject-matter experts.
Attend industry and regulatory agency meetings such as FERC, DOE, NERC, and the CFTC. Establish relationships with external affairs personnel at federal agencies and departments to network and keep informed of issues effecting Electric Cooperatives.
Requirements and Qualifications
Exceptional writing skills
5 years working experience on regulatory issues directly relating to regulatory policy preferably within the energy industry.
Knowledge of the federal regulatory and policy making process.
Proven ability to synthesize complex information from multiple sources, tailoring and disseminating that information to appropriate audiences.
Professional experience researching, writing and editing advocacy material of a technical, legal, policy and regulatory nature
Proven ability to prioritize multiple projects and issues
Bachelor's Degree required Master's Degree in relevant field preferred.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
