Duties and
Responsibilities:
Successful candidate responsible for performing sample intake duties related to the Deep Water Horizon project. Work involves handling chain of custody information and procedures as well as driving within region to conduct sample intakes from field scientists. Other duties as assigned.
A qualified candidate will have the ability to:
Pass a DOT level physical
Lift up to 50 lb. objects alone; lift up to 100 lb. objects with assistance
Drive and/or ride in a vehicle for extended periods of time
Drive alone for up to 3 hours at a time
Work for up to 16 consecutive hours
Work flexible hours
Be on call 24/7, unless waived by management
Occasionally work through normal sleeping hours
Work with others in close quarters for extended periods of time
Type/Work on a laptop computer
Sit for extended periods of time
Work indoors/outdoors in hot, humid, cold, wet or stormy conditions
Bend, squat, lean and rotate (flexible, good range of motion)
Repeatedly bend over to pick up supplies/equipment
Safely drive a large passenger van, 4x4 pickup truck or other large vehicle
Qualifications:
Prior education in environmental sciences, biology, or related field preferred.
Prior experience with chain of custody processes
Experience in lab environment preferred.
Ability to operate light vehicles with satisfactory driving record.
Ability to conduct work following a 3-week on and 1-week off rotation.
Proven experience working in a fast-paced setting with multiple, competing priorities.
Successful background working in a team-based environment.
Working Conditions:
The worker is subject to environmental conditions. Protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.
The worker is subject to outside environmental conditions. No effective protection from the weather.
The worker is subject to both environmental conditions. Activities occur inside and outside.
The worker is subject to extreme cold. Temperatures typically below 32 F for periods of more than one hour. Consideration should be given to the effect of other environmental conditions, such as wind and humidity.
The worker is subject to extreme heat. Temperatures above 100 F for periods of more than one hour. Consideration should be given to the effect of other environmental conditions, such as wind and humidity.
Physical Requirements:
Heavy work - Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Travel Requirements:
50% - 75%

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
