## Job Description
POSITION DESCRIPTION
Position Title : Welding
FLSA Status : Non - Exempt
Reports to : Branch Manager
Manages : None
Other Requirements : Occasional out of town travel with or without notice.
GENERAL SUMMARY
Welds metal components with a variety of arc and gas welding equipment, Sub Arc, TIG, MIG and Cladding to fabricate or repair of valves and pressure containing parts, machine parts, and plant equipment.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Welds metal components with a variety of arc and gas welding equipment, Sub Arc, TIG, MIG and Cladding to fabricate or repair of valves and pressure containing parts, machine parts, and plant equipment.
Maintains total awareness of customer and adhere to TEAM and client policies, regulations, and procedures. Ensures proper adherence to them with respect to all contract operations.
Performs related tasks such as thermal cutting and grinding. Repairs broken or cracked parts, fills holes, and increases size of metal parts. Positions and clamps together components of fabricated metal products preparatory to welding.
Locates and repairs cracks in parts as required.
Must be able to pass welding qualification tests for required welding procedure.
Ensure equipment is maintained and in proper working condition, ensure that all equipment is in good safe working condition at all times.
Three to Five years experience with STICK, MIG, TIG and Sub-Arc welding equipment, arc gouging processes, welding positioners and manipulators and oxygen/acetylene torches.
Experience with welding low alloy steels and stainless steel, as well as cladding of low alloy steel with Inconel. Experience welding pressure vessels is preferred.
Must have the ability to build up surfaces on metal castings and forgings. Capable of identifying metals and their weld ability.

Must pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screen.
Must possess a valid driver''s license.
Must complete job required reports and paperwork.
Must complete all required safety and technical training.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Field duties require outdoor work in a plant atmosphere
Interaction with other crew employees, as well as supervisors and client personnel
Working in plant and/or shop areas around production machinery with extreme noise levels
Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection
May be at more than one job site in a day and must be able to tolerate climate changes
May be required to travel out of town on a periodic basis
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Sufficient clarity of speech and hearing or other communication capabilities, with or without reasonable accommodation, which permits employee to communicate effectively.
Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time with or without reasonable accommodation.
