Summary:
We are looking for a highly motivated PhD scientist in Immunology or related field to join the Therapeutic Antibody Immunization Team in the Therapeutic Proteins Department. A thorough understanding of immunology, B cell biology and adaptive immunity is a must and research experience in mouse model development and hands-on animal experience is required. In this position, he/she will collaborate with other research teams to design, develop and execute optimized immunization strategies aimed at assessing immunogenicity of target antigens. The candidate will also work closely with antibody isolation teams in the effort to identify optimal lead antibodies. In addition, the scientist will participate in ongoing work to evaluate other mouse based technologies. The qualified candidate must be able to communicate effectively and maintain high productivity as a member of the team in a fast paced collaborative environment with timeline driven projects. Maintaining a high level of productivity, team interaction and critical thinking skills are essential for this candidate.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop and optimize immunization strategies aimed at assessing immune response, characterize the responses and analyze data
Performing research studies using novel approaches to break tolerance to self-antigens.
Organize and initiate immunization activity based on target and pipeline prioritization
Collaborate and coordinate activities with members of the Therapeutic Proteins department, Tech Centers and TFA groups to initiate projects in a timely manner Analyze data and present results in intra-and inter-departmental team meetings

Requirements:
We are looking for PhD In Immunology, Biochemistry or in a related field 1-3 years of post-doctoral training in the field of immunology and B cell biology
Highly competent in mouse handling and drug administration
Experience in flow cytometry and immuno-assays required
Ability to multi-task and adapt to changes in department priorities
Should have excellent communication and critical thinking skills
Ability to collaborate with different groups in a team environment as well as work independently.
This position will require the individual to pass a physical before beginning employment.
