Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience: 1-3 years experience in Logistics. 2 years Forklift experience is necessary.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities: Reliability, dedication, and resourcefulness are important qualities in a Material Handler. Must be efficient, well organized, competent in their abilities as a Material Handler and capable of realizing tasks that need to be completed and taking the initiative to finish them without being asked. Professionalism in attitude and behavior are imperative. Must be able to work individually as well as with a team. Strong communication skills are essential.
Material Handlers load and unload materials within a warehouse or storage facility utilizing hand truck, forklifts, hoists, or conveyors.
Stack Cable Trays onto pallets and install protective devices such as bracing, padding, or strapping to prevent shifting or damage to materials being transported.
Perform applicable quality checks and document results.
Conduct inventory counts.
Perform basic maintenance activities.
Additional Responsibilities may arise through the development of the above listed items.
