PRIMARY FUNCTION
Plan, direct and coordinate sales activities through brokers, as well as direct relationships with customers to deliver sales objectives
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
The Territory Sales Manager of Baker Boy reports to and is accountable to the Director of Sales and Marketing.
4. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
a. Manage sales of all Baker Boy branded products to all foodservice, in-store bakery, and c-store accounts for the assigned territory.
b. Develop with the Director of Sales and Marketing annual sales and spending budget for each broker, by distributor customer in assigned territory.
c. Achieve sales and spending targets as outlined in annual sales and spending budget for territory
d. Direct activities of broker(s) as they engage in developing and producing Baker Boy product sales.
e. Provide support and training to broker personnel in assigned territory, and as needed throughout overall marketing area.
f. Represent Baker Boy at trade shows, key customer calls, and distributor and customer training seminars.
g. Initiate, develop and manage regional accounts within territory with the cooperation of responsible broker.
h. Work closely with Marketing on all product development requests and marketing service needs for the territory.
i. Provide care and maintenance of all Baker Boy assets including vehicle, show equipment and supplies, and office equipment and supplies. Manage expenses in reasonable and prudent manner.
j. Report sales and territory activity to President and Director of Sales and Marketing through the use of weekly reports.
5. PERIPHERAL FUNCTIONS
a. Key projects as assigned by the Director of Sales and Marketing.
6. ACCOUNTABILITIES AND MEASUREMENTS OF PERFORMANCE
a. Sales would be at or greater than budget.
b. Expenses would be at or less than budget.
c. Broker(s) will have met their duties and responsibilities. They will have achieved their sales and expense budget.
d. Maintain great understanding of market conditions and data analysis. Communicate weekly feedback to Director of Sales and Marketing.
e. Successful completion of key projects as designated by the Director of Sales and Marketing.
Requirements
REQUIREMENTS
a. _Education_
Required: High School or Vocational School Graduate
Preferred: Four Year Degree
b. _Experience_
A minimum of eight years of relevant experience.
c. _Skill, Knowledge and Abilities_
leadership capability, ability to develop strategic partnerships and provide growth in the organization.
b.Knowledgeable and skilled in sales management, customer relations and broker relations.
c. The ability to work with other members of management in a harmonious and cooperative manner and to contribute positively to the overall decision-making process.
d. Solid understanding of the business to business sales process, including the Foodservice, In-Store Bakery, and C-Store channel segments.
e. Intimate knowledge of the product line, including baking procedures and various customer applications and usages.
f. Working knowledge of competitor's strengths and weaknesses.
g. Excellent negotiation and influencing skills. Ability to grasp and sell win-win solutions.
h. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with external customers and all levels of the company both written and verbal.
i. Team player with critical thinking and business decision making abilities, as well as strong problem solving capabilities.
j. Proactive and self-starting with successful project accomplishments.
k. Ability to manage multiple responsibilities under tight deadlines.
l. Proficient computer skills including Outlook and Microsoft Office.
