Menck Windows, located in Chicopee, MA, has an exciting opportunity for a CNC Machine Operator who will be an integral part of our team as we build the business from the ground up.
About the Position
The CNC Machine Operator will primarily be responsible for:
Operation of CNC machines, specifically Weinig Conturex processing center and Holtzer Promaster table machine, as well as the operation of Weinig Powermat moulder, Riamann Ripsaw and Dimter Optimizing chopsaw
Machine set-up and operations
Tool measuring and setup
Preventative and routine maintenance of machines
The ideal candidate will possess:
The ability to set up CNC processing center and/or other automated wood processing equipment
The ability to use and read calipers, as well as an ability to set-up tools using dial indicator and gage blocks
Mechanical and troubleshooting abilities
The ability to read blueprints
The ability to compare original part specs and blue prints with first run parts to ensure part quality
The ability to train others in the operation of equipment
A willingness to travel occasionally for training and to interface with German partners
Experience with wood is a must; window and door experience is a plus
