Summary:
Responsible for performing necessary repairs and maintenance as supervised by a Trailer Technician, Trailer Technician- Lead, or a Trailer Technician- Senior. Perform necessary tractor and trailer tire work as needed.
Essential Functions:
o Safely install mounted tires on tractors and trailers.
o Safely perform preventive and corrective maintenance in a timely manner with supervision, using mechanical knowledge to determine if process will require repairs and/or parts replacement.
o Safely operate mount/dismount equipment, repair and balance (as needed) tractor and trailer tires.
o Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
o Use and/or possess any necessary hand tools or safety equipment to safely perform assigned tasks.

Scope and Accountability:
Completes tasks by following pre-established procedures; applies basic technical and procedural knowledge; some formal training or experience is required to perform the job effectively; follows detailed and defined instructions and applies judgment to solve problems.
Knowledge and
Experience:
o High School Diploma or equivalent
o Possess valid operator's license in the state of residence.
o Possess Air Brake certification
o Possess Power Industrial Truck Certification within 60 days of employment.
o Knowledge of tires and tire repair including balancing, mounting, dismounting and installation of mounted tires/wheels on tractors and trailers.
o Effective oral and written communication skills
o Bilingual in English and Spanish- Laredo, TX only

Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands or finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk and hear. The employee must have the ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds over their head. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment: The duties of this job are performed in both an office environment and a light industrial environment, thereby experiencing some minor to moderate level of noise due to office equipment and industrial equipment.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
