BRIEF DESCRIPTION:
The purpose of this position is to provide department-level management and leadership to the Bus Operations Department and to fully support the goals and objectives of both the Department and CATA. This is accomplished by supervising staff, performing administrative tasks, developing and managing programs, policies, and procedures, and ensuring compliance with Federal, State, and Local regulations pertaining to public transit. Other duties include responding to, containing, and managing emergency situations, participating in CATA and department training opportunities and programs, completing special projects, and acting as a resource base to other departments, executive management, and outside agencies as requested/directed.
Essential Functions:
Assist in planning, organizing, and controls of all activities in the Fixed Route & Paratransit Departments. Participates in developing department goals, objectives, and systems with the Director of Operations, and recommends necessary changes.
Serves as a liaison between the Authority and the bargaining unit. May be called upon to represent the company in first or second stage grievance process and legal proceedings.
Directs and supervises Operations Dispatchers and Service Supervisors by evaluating and supervising operation personnel, reviewing performance statistics, creating and updating operating rules/procedures. Investigates and resolves escalated personnel issues.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
