Job Title: Accounts Receivable/ Payable Specialist
Primary Function:
The Accounts Receivable/Payable Specialist assists other accounting personnel and is responsible for the collections function of the department, semi monthly payroll for Independent Contractors, as well as managing the accounting functions of the Adaco purchase order/inventory system.
Essential Functions:
Cash Management:
Receives and records incoming cash/credit card receipts.
Processes daily credit card deposits.
Prepares daily cash receipts spreadsheet.
Enters daily cash receipts into general ledger system.
Accounts Receivable (As directed by Accounts Receivable Manager):
Reviews the status of delinquent accounts and initiates collection by contacting each account according to due date.
Prepares correspondence on delinquent accounts requiring special handling.
Researches disputed delinquent account balances. Corrects any errors, including misapplied payments, reversed late charges, direct deposit errors, and overpayment from errors.
Obtains and mails invoice copies for customers as requested.
Adaco Purchase Order/Inventory System Management:
Reconciles daily kitchen purchases to vendor quotes using invoices and purchase orders.
Manages weekly vendor quotations
Communicates price quote variances to Executive Chef and vendors.
Manages monthly inventory extension.
Payment Processing- Reports to A/R Manager:
Semi-Monthly processing of payment to Independent Contractors
End of year 1099 processing
All other duties assigned by the A/R Manager and Controller
Requirements:
At least one year of experience in accounting (A/R preferable)
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel)
Excellent written, communication, and organizational skills
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Proven customer service experience
Associates Degree in related field helpful
Preferred Skills:
Solomon/Dynamics experience
