Positions Supervised: Indirect-may mentor, guide or lead varied levels of the Mechanic group
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Essential Functions Statement(s)
Performs maintenance and repair of ground support equipment and facilities.
Executes complex maintenance assignments involving but not limited to automotive, electrical, systems and other related trade skill sets.
Trains, mentors and guides Jr. GSE Mechanics
May have input in the hiring and promotion of others in the mechanic employee group
Reads and interprets repair manuals, intermediate electrical and hydraulic schematics and supervisor/manager's instructions.
Works in tight and/or high spaces utilizing appropriate PPE and fall protection equipment.
Follows and complies with company and federally established policies and procedures
Utilizes a computer to perform a variety of communications, training and administrative processes.
Completes forms connected with work assignments according to established procedures.
Performs additional duties/assignments as may be required by management.

Education : High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
Computer Skills: BasicMicrosoft Office, basic computer skills
Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
Must have own tools

years of experience as a heavy or medium duty mechanic.

years knowledge of electrical and/or electronic systems
Intermediate knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within field.
Must maintain a valid driver's license and be insurable under the Employer's insurance policy throughout employment.
Must be willing to have non-traditional days off

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Office environment in a controlled atmosphere building; Outside environment, may be exposed to extreme temperature variances; excessive noise and other related hazards.
Must be able to successfully pass a drug screen, driver's license check, federal fingerprinting and airport security badging.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
