SUMMARY
Directs the activities of the Clinical Documentation Excellence (CDE) department and facilitates modifications to clinical documentation in the medical recored to ensure accurate depiction of the level of clinical services and patient severity. The position requires extensive interaction with the Clinical Documentation Specialists, Physicians, Nursing Staff and other healthcare providers, Case Management, Medical Records, and the Coding Staff.
REQUIREMENTS
Current RN license, BSN preferred
Minimum of five years clinical experience in pediatric acute or intensive care setting (maybe considered in lieu of degree)
Knowledge of McKesson InterQual criteria and ICD-10 coding highly desired
Prefer experience with SCM electronic medical record and Soarian Financials
CCDS and/or coding certification highly desired or willingness to complete after employment
Prefer experience with SCM electronic medical record and Soarian FinancialsEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
