Designs, develops, implement and/or review innovative analytical approaches, statistical methods and procedures, algorithms and predictive modeling techniques for reactive or proactive data analysis. Assess any limitations of the data, in terms of reliability or usability, resolve issues within the existing methodology and propose work around methodologies to increase analytical efficiency, as needed and assigned by manager. Quality assurance and/or control using computer software, including MS Access, MS Excel, SAS, SQL and/or other applications, for assigned projects completed by other data analysis staff and internal clients. Develop and/or review reports to identify potential program or systematic Medicare/Medicaid program integrity vulnerabilities. Communicate effectively with management, investigators, other Statisticians, as well as internal and external clients to provide analytic and statistical sampling support. Research the fields, policies and other relevant information to ensure that the most appropriate statistical techniques and/or methods are utilized for all projects to ensure the highest quality. Estimate sample size requirements and determine sample design and weights for internal and external clients. Communicate effectively with management, investigators, other Statisticians, as well as internal and external clients to evaluate statistical methods and procedures used to for statistical sample and the extrapolation of results.
Requirements: Masters Degree in Statistics, Mathematics or closely related field. Knowledge of statistical analysis, algorithm development, which may be gained during academic studies. Knowledge of or coursework in MS Excel, SAS, SQL and/or other applications to perform various types of data analysis. Demonstrated oral and written communication.
