Overview
Transportation Manager oversees all aspects of transportation operations including key interfaces with transportation staff and customers (moderate customer interaction). Responsible for managing transportation staff including drivers, helpers and other support staff. Coordinate daily operations, ensuring company standards, maintenance of truck routing system, budgeting, DOT compliance and cost reduction initiatives.
Compensation
$80,000-$83,000 per year
Requirements
5 years management experience, preferably in transportation
Knowledge of NYC routes, especially Brooklyn and Manhattan
Budgeting experience
Valid drivers license
CDL-A or CDL-B and/or experience preferred
Strong organizational skills
Team building and leadership skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
Strong leadership abilities
Persuasive negotiator with strong influencing skills
