Exciting opportunity to help transform an expanding Power Delivery team within a top-ranked Fortune 500 company. The successful candidate will serve as an engineer on electric transmission design projects for high-voltage (HV) and extra high-voltage (EHV) overhead and underground utility systems. You will be involved in the engineering and design of electrical overhead and underground systems, voltage conversion projects, new capacity projects and infrastructure replacement projects. You will perform engineering analyses, prepare bidding documents, plans and specifications; prepare material procurement and construction documents, and work with project planning, environmental, permitting, and construction management.
Primary
Qualifications:
Minimum 8 - 10 yrs. experience
BS degree in Electrical or Civil Engineering
Registered Professional Engineer preferred
Utility and/or consulting engineering firm experience is essential
High voltage projects from 230kV - 500 kV
PLS CADD or AutoCAD, Microstation expertise
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities will involve engineering tasks associated with the design of high-voltage electrical transmission lines. These tasks will include:
route selection
concrete foundation design and grading/drainage design for substations
material specifying
surveying
construction bid document preparation
design/construction liaison
installation
