The Incident Handler will be responsible for:
Identifying compromised computers (utilizing threat intelligence, log analysis, host analysis, malware analysis, open source research)
Responsible for applying threat intelligence within the security tool landscape including signature development and management
Responsible for detection assurance, capabilities, and improvements
Responsible for automating detection processes
Continuously identify root cause of incidents and improve security capabilities related to those incidents
Coordinate incidents and drive improvements in incident response processes
This position has the flexibility to be located in Covington, KY or Lexington, KY
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field of study
2 years experience in scripting or development
2 years experience within cyber security or 5 years within information technology
Experience automating processes with scripting, development, and information technology systems
Experience with IT Security systems (including network intrusion detection systems, anti-virus, host based detection systems, systems architecture)
Experience in implementing new computer applications and systems
Working knowledge of computer networks and operating systems
Strong oral, written, and organizational skills
Proven problem solving skills
Proven ability to learn and apply new knowledge at an accelerated rate
Experience with log aggregation and search technologies
Results oriented
Experience with documenting computer incidents and attacks
