ABOUT THE COMPANY
My client is a manufacturing/retail organization in that is adding a facility in Murfreesboro, TN; they are looking to add an Accounting Manager to lead and grow their team. The company boasts a positive team environment with great benefits and stock options.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ACCOUNTING MANAGER:
The Accounting Manager will make recommendations to management regarding corporate policies and conducts audits to ascertain compliance.
Oversee accounting department and ensure that all functions are performed in an efficient and timely recommend modifications to existing corporate programs for cost reduction initiatives.
Manage an A/P report.
The Accounting Manager will be perform accounting for Fixed Assets in accordance with GAAP including review of journal entries, account reconciliations, componentizations, capitalized interest, salaries, ARO & impairment.
Analysis and projection of depreciation and other asset related costs for budgeting purposes and asset values for insurance purposes.
Prepare financial reports which summarize company business activity and financial position in areas of income, expense, and earnings in a timely and accurate manner.
Respond to external and internal audit requests and arranges for audits of company financial reports for all locations.
Expense report review/approval.
Commitment authorization responsibilities.
Verify accuracy of inventory with ongoing cycle counts and year end physical inventory.
Review of company expenditures with authority to halt questionable expenditures.
Credit authorization approval Internet Distribution.
Ensure that all federal, state, and local corporate and payroll tax reports and tax payments are completed when due.
Ensure that 401k reports are accurate and filed in a timely manner.
Ensure that all applications, filings and licenses are completed and kept current.
Review of productivity reports and follow up with responsible managers.
Efficient review and processing of new projects, purchase requisitions and invoices for CIP, leases and capital including capital and expense determinations
Proper valuation, controls and records of capital assets including regular inventories, disposals & transfers
Timely & accurate CIP reporting of expenditures, funding and review against budget including maintenance of database
EXPERIENCE PREFERRED FOR THE ACCOUNTING MANAGER:
Four years or more of accounting experience
Degree in Accounting or Finance
Advanced Excel and QuickBooks
Manufacturing / Retail / Logistics experience required
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
