West Kearney High School, located at the Youth Rehabilitation and Treatment Center in Kearney, is seeking a 0.5 FTE School Librarian / Media Specialist. Assignment will begin in August at the beginning of the 2014-2015 school year with an optional summer contract for 2015 available.
Salary based on SCATA Contract.
Examples of Work:
Employee will coordinate the daily operation of the school library, oversee the library budget, organize and maintain circulation records, maintain computers and equipment, and provide a productive atmosphere in the school library. This position will supervise male youth, ages 12-18, in a treatment facility, and provide opportunities for students to expand their independent reading skills.
Qualifications / Requirements:
REQUIREMENTS: Current Nebraska Teaching Certificate, with a 7-12 or K-12 endorsement as a School Librarian. Candidates who are eligible for an endorsement by August, 2014, will be considered.
PREFERRED: Experience in GED instruction, or teaching in a residential facility or alternative classroom a plus.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Must have ability to utilize a computer system in documentation and management techniques.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
