The Web Developer position is an entry-level position for a Knowledge Professional focusing in the functional areas of Web Development & Design as needed by the Information Technology Services Department in delivering service and support to clients. Under general supervision, designs and modifies web designs and interfaces. Performs entry level analysis and design of programs. Prepares user and application documentation for the use of new and revised websites, including operational documentation.
Duties and
Responsibilities:
o Maintain design (HTML & CSS) of all web presences, including websites, web applications and social media;
o Perform web development projects (PHP, dJango, Javascript, etc) that improve workflow and user experience;
o Train and support college employees that maintain web content using the college content management system (e.g., WordPress);
o Perform research via website analytics, ethnographic fieldwork, or other qualitative methodologies in order to track the performance of web content, architecture and designs among targeted audiences.
o Adhere to college policy and procedure to govern college web presences;
o Provide consultation services on web related projects in the college.
o Collaborate with the other divisions on college branding and graphic identity to maintain consistency across print and web media;
o Produce web graphics in collaboration with the college graphics department.
Required Education/
Experience:
Associate's degree in information technology or a related field and two (2) years of experience in area of assignment; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.
Preferred Education/Experience/Skills:
o WordPress development and administration experience
o Experience implementing or developing a brand or graphic identity
o Proficiency with Adobe Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Acrobat and InDesign
o Proficiency with Microsoft Office
o Teaching or instructional experience
o Familiarity with federal, state and local requirements and laws that impact higher education websites. (e.g. FERPA, Clery Act, and Section 508)
o Strong knowledge of design, development and accessibility standards
o Experience with the front-end of Sharepoint
Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
o HTML & CSS Design

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
