An Accounts Receivable Representative II will perform the cash application and customer accounting functions for an assigned group of customers. The incumbent is responsible for applying customer payments in an accurate and timely manner and performing customer accounting duties as directed.
Daily customer contact is required by using phone, email, faxes, letters, statements, etc. to communicate with an assigned portfolio of customers.
Application of customer payments - Daily application of lock box receipts, live checks, wires and credit memos to A/R ledger in an accurate and timely manner.
Prepare and send customer reports, payment reconciliations and schedules as needed as well as ensuring customer statements and back up are mailed on a weekly basis.
Research and resolve customer payments on a timely basis. Work with the customer and internal departments including both the credit and collections teams to facilitate resolution.
Process manual billings and credits approved by management on a timely basis.
Perform customer accounting maintenance including customer set up as directed by management.
Create daily and weekly accounts receivable aging reports for internal and external review.
Maintain responsibility for closing cash on a daily basis as directed by management as well as remote deposit.
Provide coverage and training for other A/R Analysts for functions including but not limited to deposits, upload applications, manuals, etc.
Attend meeting and participate in internal and external conference calls as directed by management.
Associate Degree in Management or Accounting/Finance or equivalent.
1 - 3 years related experience.
Knowledge of cash application functions, proficient with Microsoft suite of products especially Excel.
Self-motivated individual with good work ethic, organized and able to multi-task in a fast paced environment and must have good time management skills.
Lawson experience a plus
