Job Description
SUMMARY
The Programmer Analyst under general supervision, provides programming support for existing software enhancements. Support may be for customer or internal organizations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Develops programming code for existing software enhancements.
Devises block diagrams, logic procedures and prepares flowcharting.
Troubleshoots and debugs existing code.
Tests code and fixes to ensure quality.
Develops conversion and system implementation plans; implements newly created code and fixes into existing software.
Provides programming support for various interfaces.
Keeps customers informed of all enhancements, troubleshooting, and fixes.
Creates all programming documentation.
Completes project bids.
Mentors, trains, develops and provides support to less experienced co-workers.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
Minimum of five years of experience in programming or related field; or
An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
A seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of area of specialization. Works on moderately complex and diverse projects. Exercises good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
Able to write software code; good knowledge of appropriate programming language(s).
Able to meet aggressive deadlines.
Strong knowledge of the financial industry.
Strong knowledge of applicable Change Management System.
Strong communication and customer interaction skills.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Typical office setting with environmentally controlled conditions.
Able to work extended hours as business needs dictate.
Occasional overnight travel required.
Able to participate in on-call rotation to provide assistance to general support.
