Summary:
As the Kitchen Production Associate Team Leader (Manager) you will provide overall management and supervision of the Kitchen Production Team. The Associate Team Leader (Manager) will lead, mentor, and develop the team to achieve and surpass all department goals. The Associate Team Leader (Manager) will report to the Production Team Leader.
DUTIES:
Direct supervision of Production Team Members (employees) on every shift with assigning and distributing daily production tasks and maintain efficient production systems
Consistently communicate, model, and enforce company policies, core values, vision/goals, and safety rules. Ensure enforcement of any and all applicable regulations (including sanitation, safety, food handling, food safety and other guidelines and procedures). Additionally, maintain comprehensive knowledge of each of these areas.
Conduct a daily brief meeting with Production Team Members (employees); attend all Team/Facility meetings
Participate in daily tastings to monitor food quality
Interview, select, train, develop, and counsel Team Members (employees) in a manner that is conducive for building and sustaining a high performing team, and minimizes turnover. Help develop Team Members to their highest potential, fostering strong new candidates for future leadership positions
Write weekly schedules for Team Members.
Work with and support other functions in the Kitchen; maintain collaborative, productive, and supportive working relationships with the Facility Leadership Team, Team Leaders, and all Team Members.
Complete, refine, and produce operational productivity and analytical reports as well as other special projects as needed.
Proper use of equipment, which may include but is not limited to knives, personal protective equipment, forklift, pallet jacks, hand trucks, six wheel carts, baler (age restrictions may apply) and all other equipment used during preparation and clean up within department and facility.

REQUIREMENTS:
A degree in Culinary Arts preferred; solid culinary background and understanding of Whole Foods Market quality standards
Must have a minimum of 5 years supervisory experience or at least a Team Leader level position at this time.
Team Player with high standards of excellence and unwavering quality standards.
Must have experience working with large volume production and able to implement large batch recipes
Must be self-motivated, and have strong organizational skills coupled with the ability to prioritize and delegate as needed. Must have a positive attitude, proven ability to be proactive in identifying and solving problems, and the ability to handle stress constructively
Must have working knowledge of Word and Excel
Ability to speak read and write in Spanish a plus
Available for flexible scheduling to meet the needs of the department.
Essential Job Functions:
Stand and walk for extended periods of time.
Bend and stoop to grasp objects and climb ladders. Bend and twist neck and waist, reach above and below shoulders and squat.
Bend and lift loads, not to exceed 50 pounds. Push and pull carts weighing up to 100 pounds.
Repetitive use of hands for grasping, pushing, pulling, and fine manipulation.
Environmental exposure to extreme temperatures (coolers, ovens, freezer, outdoors, etc.)
