The Nurse Intern is responsible for assisting in direct patient care of all age groups from neonate through geriatric, specific to the unit assigned; assisting with patient transfers and repositioning, transporting of patients, supplies, or specimens; and any other duties as deemed necessary to ensure optimal patient care and physician service, under the direction and supervision of the professional nurse. The Nurse Intern is responsible to the Licensed Practical Nurse, Registered Nurse, Charge Nurse, Clinical Supervisor, Department Manager/Director, Nursing Supervisor, Associate Directors of Nursing Services and the Chief Nursing Officer.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent or currently attending an accredited school of nursing (LPN, ADN or BSN) with completion of at least the first two semesters of nursing curriculum or a recent graduate for an accredited school of nursing
Experience:
Completion of first two semesters of nursing curriculum or a recent graduate for an accredited school of nursing
Certifications / Licenses:
Maintain Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) CertificationNursing Services
