The Radiology nurse is a professional caregiver who specializes in assisting with cardiac cath procedures, interventional radiology procedures and other procedures performed in radiology and cardiac cath lab. A Radiology Registered Nurse is responsible for delivery of patient care through the process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Initiates and/or participates in patient teaching, and guides/directs the activities of ancillary personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing. Takes into account patient acuity levels, ages, disabilities, and stages of development in the performance of his/her responsibilities.
Education:
Graduate of an accredited school/ college of nursing.
Experience:
1 year Cath Lab, Interventional Radiology or Critical Care experience preferred.
Licenses/Certificates:
Current license as a registered nurse in the state of Georgia.
Current BLS certification or obtained during the first week of orientation.
Current ACLS certification or must be obtained prior to being released from orientation. Must have ACLS to care for patients.
