The Admissions Representative is responsible for all registration functions related to patients presenting for admissions, emergency care, short stay and outpatient services including obtaining/verifying patient demographic information and insurance, obtaining required signatures and the collection of applicable co-pays, deductibles and deposits.
Refers patients to Financial Counselor for payment arrangements.
The representative may also be responsible for the coordination of bed assignments for patients in the hospital including transfers, direct admits, ER admits, etc.
Communicates effectively and greets patients and families/significant others all in a friendly and courteous manner. Interacts with hospital and non-hospital personnel in completion of job function. Performs various clerical duties as assigned.
