Summary
Internship will provide hands-on experience in the development and production of print and web communications intended for mutual fund investors and an opportunity to collaborate daily with staff and design vendors.
Purpose and Mission
Collect content for website using Gather Content.
Assist with proofreading and project tracking for shareholder newsletter, quarterly update e-mail and semi-annual report. Circulate copy for review, consolidate edits.
Collect data for June 30 performance and portfolio updates for various print, web and pdf communications (e.g., fund fact sheets, online tables, pitch books).
Additional work packaging existing and new content for the web site to be launched at year end. Track compliance reviews; consolidate edits. Suggest ways to leverage semi-annual report content for website.
Requirements and Qualifications
Communications, English, Journalism, Marketing, Business, Public Policy, Pre-Law degree program
Strong language skills, including grammar and punctuation, are essential. Detail oriented.
Interest in financial planning, investment concepts and styles, banking, accounting or securities law. Some familiarity with these subjects would be helpful, but is not necessary.
Interest in communications, graphic design and web development. This position will provide exposure to the full production process: from concept to delivery.
Self-motivated, focused and eager to learn.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
This is an intern position.
3.0 or above GPA required and Must be a rising junior or senior
Dates: May 19th thru August 8th, 2014
