Financial Systems Analyst
Represent our financial group by collaborating with IT on projects to centralize Chesterton's global financial reporting into a more streamlined universal software application. Ensure the appropriate internal controls are in place and managed in accordance with financial policies and procedures. Identify and resolve financial and/or data control weakness in our existing policies, procedures, work instructions, and analytical tools.
Analyze business issues to formulate, test, and develop new and/or modified computer programs and systems. Revise existing programs, systems, and procedures to correct deficiencies and maintain more effective data handling, conversion, and storage. Evaluate user requirements with existing and/or projected computer capabilities and conduct periodic end user training.
Education/
Experience:
BS in Computer Science, Accounting/Finance, or Business Administration
Strong computer skills, advanced Excel knowledge, and prior usage of various financial reporting and payroll systems (Microsoft Dynamics, TMI)
7
years' experience in an Information Technology or Financial role
Write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
Present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and end users
Solve practical problems and deal with ambiguity in situations where only limited standardization exists
