We are currently seeking a Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our team in Broussard, LA.
SUMMARY
The Shipping and Receiving Clerk will play a vital role in providing excellent customer service to the clients of HB Rentals. We are looking for a dedicated individual that is organized, capable of working in a shop environment, and able to handle multiple job duties at one time. The Shipping and Receiving Clerk will verify and keep records on incoming and outgoing shipments as well as potentially preparing items for shipment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Compares identifying information and counts, orders, or other records
Determines method of shipment
Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages
Routes items to departments
Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies
Operates forklift or uses hand truck to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving area to storage or work area
Reconciles incoming materials against appropriate purchase orders. Completes material receipt reports as required
Documents receipts/equipment transfers
Assists with loading/unloading of delivery vehicles and coordinates storage of incoming materials and equipment
Marks/tags all items with purchase order numbers and other pertinent information as necessary
Maintains log of activity in storage areas and complete issue sheets / ETRRs / manifest as necessary
Reports to the management, in writing, any committed expenditures which are known not to have a field requisition or purchase order number
Ensures full awareness of, and compliance with, the requirements of all relevant company/customer HSE handbooks, HSE procedures and emergency procedures
Performs any other delegated duties considered appropriate in order to maintain the efficient running of the department
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
1
years of warehouse, stocking, or inventory management/coordination experience
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and InspHire (or Citrix systems)
Ability to multitask
Basic math and grammar skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization, written and verbal
EDUCATION: High School diploma or equivalent
