Lifetouch National School Studios captures the portraits of millions of preschool, elementary, and junior and senior high school students each year. In addition to capturing Picture Day memories, Lifetouch National School Studios provides senior portraits, athlete and sports portraits, and portraits of other school organizations and special events. We are currently seeking a Lead Systems Architect to join our team .
The Lead Systems Architect role will develop and maintain the high-level design plan for the overall logical and technical systems architecture. This individual will provide technical leadership and consulting across the organization, from IS strategic decision making down to the project planning level. The Lead Systems Architect will work with IS Management to gain organizational commitment for all high-level plans, and initiate and participate in projects to evaluate technologies and methods for implementing these technologies.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with end users and senior management to define business requirements for complex systems development and gain buy-in for all infrastructure plans.
Provide guidance and mentoring to junior members of the team.
Provide architectural consulting expertise, direction, and assistance to Systems Analysts, Systems Engineers, Senior Database analysts and other Systems Architects.
Document and develop in-depth knowledge of company's existing IS architecture, hardware and network infrastructure, and technology portfolio.
Work with cross-company IS and IT to develop, document, and communicate a technology standards policy.
Conduct research on emerging technologies in support of application development and integration efforts, and recommend technologies that will increase cost effectiveness and flexibility.
Develop, document, make recommendations, and communicate plans for investing in application infrastructure, including analysis of cost reduction opportunities.
Design and develop processes to implement end-to-end integrated systems.
Review new and existing IS projects, systems designs, and procurement/outsourcing plans for compliance with IS standards and architectural plans.
Develop and execute test plans to check infrastructure and systems technical performance. Report on findings and make recommendations for improvement.

Qualifications
Education & Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, MIS or Business Administration. 8-10 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Ability to design, prototype and assess architecture solutions
Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Project and Excel software
Expert knowledge of programming languages, including JAVA and MS development toolsets
In-depth technical knowledge of network, PC, and platform operating systems, including UNIX and W2K
Hands-on experience with application development tools, such as Togethersoft
Working knowledge of Weblogic, Apache, IIS and Oracle database software
Knowledge of data privacy issues and laws
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents
Ability to respond to common inquiries from business clients
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
